Incessant thoughts
Cover the silence
Of the starry spring sky.

Foggy morning—
Chirping birds
pierce the silence.

Morning coffee
Savoring the silence,
As it seeps into my cup.

Sick, at dawn,
coughing in rhythm,
With the robin's birdsong.
